  • This church is located in the (rather infamous) neighborhood called Sanità. (In fact, the neighborhood Rione Sanità has a special charm, it is not possible to visit Naples and not go there). The Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità is impressive, but a little neglected. Its beauty and artistic treasures inside are worth the effort of an extensive renovation.
  • The basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità rises in the heart of the Sanità district in Naples, wanted by the Neapolitan faithful as a sign of devotion to the Madonna, following the discovery of a fresco from the V-VI, which is now in one of the chapels of the basilica. The church is a real pictorial paradise, which constitutes precious seventeenth-century works of art among its naves. The fabulous permanent crib measuring 4 meters by 3 meters and more than 2 meters high is very interesting and beautiful. It is kept in a display case and can be admired from all sides. Also interesting is the dome covered externally with green and yellow majolica.
