    I did not expect to see such a substantial construction in Gradisca. Not a lot to see as I was informed by a friendly local that much was dismantled to open up the town to the park many years ago...

    very interesting antique wall from the roman period. There is wonderful park around the wall with great old pine trees. Nice walk.

    By going to the civic library with a guided tour I was able to access the visit of the castle which is accessible only with a guide. The history of this complex, now partially renovated, is also very interesting, but there is still much to do.

    Gradisca and its castle on the river, very pretty. The castle should be recovered and enhanced.
