Italy's largest insect and butterfly exhibit, Casa delle Farfalle boasts three separate greenhouses sheltering reproductions of tropical forests. Within these artificial environments, representing tropical parts of the world, hundreds of butterflies and other insects roam freely, as do many small invertebrates. Butterflies like bright colors, so dress accordingly to attract at least some of the 400 different species housed inside the greenhouses, designed to imitate natural habitats from Asia, Africa, and the Amazon basin. we came here by chance, but its absolutely worth it. Several interconnected green houses with hundreds of butterflies. good for some colorful close up pictures!

Wonderful structure, welcoming and prepared staff. Hundreds of butterflies and many very special tropical animals, exhibition space with video projections, equipped also outside with seating, children's area, well-stocked refreshment point with typical products of the Friuli region. Beautiful surroundings with walks also at high altitude, near the splendid Tagliamento river. And many other things that .... go and visit it!
