Witness the power and majesty of the ocean and its tides at Devil's Tears. The natural landmark gains its name from the ocean spray thrown out from a cave in the cliff face as each wave hits. An attractive place for couples and families, this coastal feature remains largely unknown among tourists, so it offers unspoiled views and a relaxing atmosphere. Find your spot on the rocks at this dynamic stretch of coastline, but be careful where you put your feet--some rocks are jagged. Also, don't underestimate the strength of the waves here--they can be very strong. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Devil's Tears by using our Nusa Lembongan tour itinerary planner.

Beautiful place also quite scary watching the waves crash over the high cliff, but a completely fantastic experience of nature

Nice view, but there are better places to see a big wave make a splash. If you make an intercontinental flight to Bali, this is not the reason why you should. Bali has so much better to offer.

Spectacular cliff where you can witness the waves crushing into the rocky caves, and feel the sparks of salty water in the air. If lucky enough you can see the amazing blue colour of the ocean and even some sea turtles. One can walk around in the designated area, and explore the place, there are a couple of pendopos and small warungs to have a drink, chill and enjoy the fresh breeze. A must visit place when on the island!

We went twice - late afternoon just before sunset, and 5 days later at 10am in the morning when it was high tide. Both times the colour of the water was stunning hence my guess that any time will be breathtaking. Besides seeing the spectacular sprays, the sound of roaring and crashing waves had a mesmerizing magic of its own. It's free, you can stay as long as you like, buy some drinks and snacks close-by and shouldn't be missed when visiting Lembongan. I think young kids will like the experience for a while but keep an eye on them. There is a rope to demarcate how close to the edge you can walk but the terrain is rocky and uneven. You might also get wet, so enjoy!
