Shivoham Shiva Temple, recently built in 1995, is rumored to hold the most powerful Shiva statue in the world. Due to the gigantic idol, thousands of devotees visit each year to pay their respects at the temple, whose creation itself is a bit of a marvel. Ravi V. Melwani, founder of the temple, hired a sculptor named Kashinath, who molded the statue with his bare hands, without a plan or measuring tool. At the entrance, find the largest Shiva Linga gate in the city. Farther in, find a Lord Ganesha statue as well as two bell towers that make the location of the healing stones, which are said to have miraculous healing powers. Make Shivoham Shiva Temple a centerpiece of your Bengaluru vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Bengaluru visit planning website.

  • Its a beautiful place but highly commercialised. Worth a one time visit, but not for regular prayers. Earlier they used to allow you without any entry fee, not any more.

  • The place is well maintained, free darshan will be available to see the sculpture from 200m, if you want to enjoy nearby the entry fee is 250/- INR per head.

  • Calm temple with a lots of mantras playing in background. Delightful environment, however they charge ₹ 250/- entry fees per person. But trust me , it's worth it once you enter in. They also have secured underground parking facility for your vehicles to be parked safely. Your soul will definitely find some peace once you visit here, as I found it so...
  • Loved the full positive vibes inside. Also hats off to the entire planning of each idol synced with sound & ambience while we go nearby the cave. Also they usually charge Rs 150/person without the idol photo. Recently they have started giving one idol photo Rs 250/person. You can actually ask while entry. But I completely agree with the management taking some entry fee, so that maintaince is taken care, Temple inside is neat and clean. Very systematic and well planned. Coupon system on each major Prasad/check point.
