Stand in the same place where Martin Luther defended his writings that criticized the Catholic Church at Dom zu Worms. Also called the Cathedral of St. Peter, this church was once the seat of the Catholic Prince-Bishopric of Worms, in front of whom Luther was held to account in 1521. The structure is bookended with towers and adorned inside with red sandstone. • Fantastic exterior wit its red sandstone (?) and decorative towers and chapels. The inside is simple with a baroque altarpiece and choir, and remnants from the original exterior sculptural program...

  • Very nice old cathedral, you can feel history everywhere here. Simple yet interesting. In one side chapel you can even find relics of Saint Nicholas from Bari.
