This is a gondola ride from the bottom of the town to the top of the mountain where you can see out for miles across the mountain tops. If you want to avoid the gondola, There is a pretty steep trail.... more

In February we took the cable car up just for the views. We had a clear day and the views were spectacular. Take a ride up and enjoy the views. One direction we could overlook Oberammergau - the other direction we could spot Garmisch. There is a small restaurant on top of the mountain but we did not get a chance to visit it. We loved the views and enjoyed walking around the top of Laber. Take the cable car trip and enjoy the views!

Cool corner that is not yet overcrowded. This is probably due to the fact that some of the climbs are steep and quite uneven. The opportunities for climbing are quite nice. The best thing is to simply get a taste of nostalgia on the old railway (built in 1957) and have a nice coffee on the Laber. The wonderful view and the friendly service complete the experience. And if you feel like it, you can walk back to the valley station. Otherwise there is a circular route with 300m altitude difference, which offers a great view in some places. Despite everything, you should think about sturdy shoes. Especially when it has rained, the paths are quite slippery.
