Small museum in the city center but really interesting spot for history enthusiasts 🎓 The museum features different things from different ages, ancient weapons, sculptures, jewelry and icons. Entrance fee was 3 lari as I remember. Items have description but I suggest to take a tour with a guide, it would be much more interesting.

Kutaisi State Historical Museum is small museum, but it features very interesting exhibits. A beautiful icon collection, gorgeous manuscripts, esp. Shota Rustaveli's The Knight in the Panther's Skin with very Persian-like illustrations, antique weapons, costumes, etc. — a diverse picture of the region's rich history.
