This small museum gets few visitors in comparison with Stalin museum. It deserves much better especially when you hire the young lady guide who speaks English like a native.

The Great Patriotic War Museum 🇬🇪 Pretty moving museum that's generally overshadowed by the Stalin Museum also located in this downtown square of beautiful Gori, Georgia 🤷♂️ Not a lot of information in English here but you get the jist pretty quickly of just what was happening here not only in World War II but also as recent as 2008 when the Russians rolled tanks all the way down here as part of their campaign to take yet another territory forcibly away from Georgia 🙈 In this museum you can see shrapnel, grenades, and a bunch of footage from the fire fights that took place just in front of this museum's location not so long ago 🤯🤯🤯

It's a standard town museum and there are only a few objects and documents about the soviet era. Honestly, I didn't like it.
