Alaverdi Monastery (Georgian: ალავერდის მონასტერი) is a Georgian Eastern Orthodox monastery located 25 km (16 mi) from Akhmeta, in the Kakheti region of Eastern Georgia. Calm place. Spiritual. Worth stoping bye, but not visiting it for itself

I loved this place not just because it looks great, but also because they show the history of the substantial ongoing renovation works. It gives a snlense of the history of this complex.
