Eglise de St Michel, Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure

This church dominates the skyline and looks down over the town. I had the pleasure of climbing all the way up to the top of the bell tower. Once there the view over the town and terrain is most impressive. Next to the church is a outdoor vehicle / caravan park. This is a must see church and well worth a visit.

Passing through Saint Michel Mont Mercure to put our motorcycle wheels on the highest road in Vendée, it was with pleasure that we discovered that it was possible to climb to the top of the church to be able to admire the landscape. Very nice view of the Vendée bocage. The visit is free but it is possible to leave a small room anyway. It's worth checking out !
