At Museum of Broken Relationships, reflect on the fragility of human relationships, and consider the political, social, and cultural circumstances surrounding the love stories presented. After the end of their four-year relationship, Olinka Vistica and Drazen Grubisic started the collection with their leftover personal items. See how other people embraced the idea of exhibiting their past love as a sort of mourning. The facility received the Kenneth Hudson Award for Europe's most innovative museum in 2011. Undoubtedly one of my favorite museums so far. The museum showcases the stories and associated items of many break ups that range from funny to heartbreaking. We made it a quick little stop on our walk throughout Zagreb. It’s located right on the street of the infamous st marks church and nearby delicious traditional Croatian restaurants. They offer a student discount for the entry fee which was inexpensive. Definitely add this to your Croatian travel agenda.

Nice set of stories, very diverse, some about romantic relationships, some about different types. Definitely a unique museum to visit. If you like it, I would recommend listening to "Modern Love" podcast from New York Times. Similar premise - 10 min stories about various faces if love. I hope that if I ever visit Zagreb again, there will be a new set of stories in the museum :)
