If you’re passing it’s worth making a quick stop. You can drive off the main road down a single track to nearly the fortress. Then walk the last 5 minutes. There is a snake waning but didn’t see any.....  more

Good area for snake-watching and lizards, must be beautiful in the spring. Worth the quick stop although the trees en-route may scratch your car.
