Blue Lake, Imotski

The Blue Lake is just fantastic. It’s a bit of a hike in and out as the path is just over 1/2 mile long with 450ft of elevation gain from bottom to the top, but it’s worth the effort. Take food and drink as you don’t want to have to go up and down any more than necessary. The lake is a sink hole and is just beautiful. Great swimming, diving and general fun that kept our teenage kids off the phones the whole time we were there. Will be back again soon.

Really unique place with his own story. Blue lake was always attractive to visit but last year's lake accessibility has been improved. There is a path which brings you (almost) to the lake itself. Once there you enjoy the untouched nature and get unexpected refreshment from the lake. Way back is not that easy. Do not hurry and keep in mind to take some wather with you. However, once back on the top there is a great small place "Šimetrija" which offers different types of refreshments. Really great experience.
