Synagogue serves as the oldest Sephardic rite synagogue in the world and the second-oldest Jewish synagogue in Europe. Established in 1352, this ghetto synagogue is still operational and hosts a museum of Iberian Jewish items and artifacts. Visit the site, hidden in a small narrow street, for the chance to see ceremonial horns, prayer books, and Torah pointers. Observe the old, heavy wooden elements, which embue the place with an old-world feel. The site also holds numerous documents and manuscripts about the Jewish history in Croatia, from the people's arrival in 1421 through expulsion in World War II. • While small it was a wonderful stop. The history is interesting and a good glimpse into Croatian past.
  • Small synagogue but well worth visiting. The guide told us a lot about the current Jewish community in Dubrovnik and a bit about the history too. Well worth a visit.
