Create an itinerary including St Michael's Cathedral Basilica
St Michael's Cathedral Basilica stands proudly as one of Toronto's finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture. Buttressed walls and pointed arches remind of European Gothic designs, while the cream-colored bricks and teal accents give the exterior a pleasing neutral palette. Note the ribbed vaults and exposed beams that decorate the interior of the church, as well as the hand-blown stained glass windows, the most prominent a Baroque-style interpretation of the Crucifixion by French artist Etienne Thevenot. • We lived in Toronto for two years and attended mass every Sunday at St Michael's Cardinal Collins is such a special priest, we watched Sunday mass every week during COVID.

  • Beautiful Cathedral Church in the English Gothic Revival Style, built in 1848. This beautiful building is full of character and detail amongst plain glass and flat stone and composite buildings...

  • It's just beautiful. The only disappointment and it's a BIG ONE is that where the high altar should be behind the contemporary free standing altar they placed the massive bishops red chair. It's so big it looks like an 'Alice In Wonderland' prop.
  • Love to spend sometime in here when we are surrounded in the hustle and bustle Toronto downtown. It is close to Eaton centre and only 4 mins walk to the church. Beautiful church w stained glasses, a serene feeling overwhelmed me when I visited there. I revisited again for Sunday mass and I enjoyed the choir!
