Walk along the clear shallow waters and white sands of Kep Beach, a small beach only 1 km (0.6 mi) long surrounded by green forest. Local fruit and seafood markets line the shore, and remain infamous in this area-- Kep is well known for its crab markets-- so don't miss the chance to try Kep's blue crab. After relaxing on the beach, head to the various monuments found in the local vicinity. Despite the popularity of the beach with locals-- especially at the weekends-- take care when swimming here as many do not recommend it due to the impurities in the water which can make you sick. Try to avoid national holidays due to heavy crowds. Rentable chairs, ATM machines, and shower/hygiene facilities can all be found nearby.
