Originally constructed of wood, Catedral Metropolitana de Londrina was the first church built in the city. The interior features classic stained glass windows and holy images honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady Aparecida. Stop by to hear Mass in this space renowned for its modern and effective acoustics. Based on the designs of the engineer Willie Davids and finished in 1941, the church went through a number of stylistic changes in the subsequent years, like the addition of the clock tower in the 1950s. Below the building is a large underground parking lot, which is open to visitors free of charge. • A gorgeous chapel that lifts your heart towards heaven with a meaningful artwork rendition of Da Vinci´s Last Supper. A good bookstore is found underneath.

  • Amazing, peaceful, magical and mesmerising. I am very sure Jesus can clearly see and listen to his all true devotees there.
  • The architecture might seem strange at first sight, but the inside is beautiful, mostly carved in wood. I like to go on Sunday morning for the 10:30 am mass, because they play organ (a simple one, but still, amazing) and there is the elderly coral. I feel good inside the cathedral.
