It's a steep climb up, but you get rewarded with great views over the city and the river...the citadel itself seems neglected though, nothing to visit there...just go for the workout and the view

Incontournable à Liège. Highly recommended to visitors, photographers and locals who want a contrasting area, so near from the city but giving a really different feeling. The area is wider than the google maps pin point 📍

This hilly area of the Citadel of Liege is hard work to get to, but you'll be rewarded with excellent views of the city below. The views from the top of Montagne de Bueren are excellent, but if you go further along to Belvédère Liège, the views are even clearer and better. There isn't much to see of the citadel and it's mostly ruins. You can still walk around and see a lot of what remains as much of it is still standing. The area has paved walking paths and is a pleasant area for a stroll.
