Stroll the promenades of a grand urban park at Parc du Cinquantenaire, home of the Arc du Cinquantenaire. The 19th century saw the addition of the triumphal arch for Belgium's 50th anniversary as an independent nation. Three museums occupy the northern part of the park: the Royal Military Museum, Autoworld, and the Cinquantenaire Museum. A 19th-century monument called the Temple of Human Passions and a Great Mosque take up the northwest corner of the park. The buildings at the corners of the park complement the arch's neoclassical grandeur with their domes and rotundas, and the center is dominated by an esplanade where you can walk through the landscaped greenery. • Huge property, well maintained. Some of the building and statues on the property are huge and cool to look at. Also some nice gardens of flowers as you come in from the west. Came through here twice during my time in Brussels and a nice place for a walk or onto other sites.
  • Beautiful and large park with many side attractions and fountains. Good place to have a picnic with friends, go for a run or walk with family and friends. It has decent variety of trees and plants and also accommodates many sightseeing places such as mosque, museums or arch. Definitely worth place to visit in Brussels.
