Immerse yourself in history at Historium Brugge, an experiential museum. An audio guide with a wide selection of languages brings you through the themed areas. The rooms represent different places in the city during different periods in time, from the Middle Ages to the city's golden age. Costumed interpreters, recreated shops, and domestic rooms all introduce you to the city's past. Learn how canals and quays fueled the development of the town, and how the economy generated from the waterways helped craftsmen and artists thrive. Visit a reconstructed old port and the painter Van Eyck in his studio. Some exhibits encourage visitors to interact with the story, while others ask you to enjoy the experience. A beer garden at the end of the tour is a great way to round out your visit. To visit Historium Brugge on your holiday in Bruges, and find out what else Bruges has to offer, use our Bruges.

Extremely expensive for what it is. Over €100 for a family of 5. Our visit took 35 minutes in total. Absolutely not worth so much money. A very disappointing experience. We actually thought it was...

A great way to find out the history of Bruges. It's fun for all age's and is interactive. And the view from the terrace is amazing.

My husband and I enjoyed our short visit here. First time visiting Bruges for myself and got to learn a bit about Bruges’ history in a fun and interactive way. We did the VR and story activity. Both were informative and enjoyable. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. Affordable prices.

It is the attraction that is worth to visit. Virtual reality tour brings you to medieval Brugge, one of the most prosperous European towns at that time. It is followed by a fascinating fictional story on one of Van Eyck’s (Flemish primitive painter) masterpieces. Kids will definitely like it. Eventually, you finish at the Duvel bar.
