The "Stollen of Remembrance" tells the dark past of Steyr in the Second World War. Among other things, many forced laborers were employed in the rolling bearing factory. The Should of Remembrance is not only told in a purely documentary way, but from the perspective of the victims in order to give them a voice and a face. Although there are no technical installations apart from illuminated display boards due to the high humidity, the tour is interesting and informative and the time just flew by. Tickets, keys and helmets must be collected in advance from the Arbeitswelt Museum, which is a five-minute walk away. Note: the museum is currently closed due to renovation work - you have to register in advance for a visit to the tunnel so that someone is there and can hand over the key. Highly recommended!
