Visited this little town on the way to Melk Abbey. Very quiet and sleepy during winter but it was nice to take a stroll around town and admire the architecture there.

Really cozy town with nice monastery situated high. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed a beer on the square while an orchestra in beautiful costumes played good music.

Excellent service and knowledge about wine in Wachau and beyond. The owner/staff I encountered was very willing to share his knowledge. Would recommend for wine purchases.
