I have visited wine regions all over Europe and the United States and this is easily the very best, most enjoyable, most informational, most absolutely awesome wine-related activity I have ever experienced. I'm not kidding. THE BEST. I was in the region in early October 2022 and spent three hours walking and reading and taking pictures and making friends at the "wine safe" stops. If you brought a picnic lunch, you could easily make a leisurely, full day of it. The wines of the Kamptal, Kremstal, and Wachau are fantastic, but this hike alone gives me reason to return to the area. I can't wait to come back and do it again!
