Landeszeughaus hosts the world's largest historical armory with over 30,000 pieces on display. Admire rows and rows of weapons, tools, and complete suits of armor used for both battles and parades. The armory was originally built to equip soldiers in defense against the Ottoman Empire in the 1600s, and Styria has carefully preserved the collection ever since. During World War II, authorities hid the equipment in remote castles and successfully avoided damage. Today, you can view the pieces in the original building. Great collection of armor and weapons. There are unique pieces here that you will not see any place else. Make sure you do the guided tour. There are no signs providing details on the exhibits. Without someone to provide insights and information. You are missing out on 90% of the visit.
