Create an itinerary including Zoo Salzburg
Zoo Salzburg houses a riotous array of exotic and common residents in outdoor enclosures. Wander the zoo and you'll be greeted by 1,200 different animals representing 140 species from around the world. You'll pass through varied ecological zones and themed areas, including Eurasia, the African savannah, and the Americas, sheltering a collection of critters ranging from rhinos to river otters. You'll find that the zoo emphasizes housing animals together to provide a more realistic environment, meaning that multiple species from similar habitats run free together. If you've got kids in tow while at the zoo, be sure to grab a free cart, available next to the gift shop, to give them a ride around the exhibits. Take the guesswork out of planning a Anif vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

  • This is a lovely zoo. The setting is special with the mountains in the backdrop. But the animals are also very special. Spent 2 jam packed hours. Enjoy

  • This place was great! We really enjoyed the length of the zoo as it wound around the cliff and followed the old wall. The exhibits were all easy to get to plus we felt a natural pull to follow traffic. The animals themselves were also very active during our visit. We got to hear plenty of them and see feedings.
  • Dropped by since I was at the trick fountains and already purchased the Salzburg card. The zoo was a pleasant surprise as me and my partner enjoyed it very much given most animals were in close proximity. The facilities looked very kids friendly as well. We were short on time so we took 1.5 hours to zoom through the whole place but I am sure there is more to see and most can spend at least 3 hours here.
