The 8 hectare (19 acre) Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens offers a small zoo, camellia garden, a walk-through aviary, a music bowl, and a tree chapel. Try to time your visit for the first or third Sunday of the month because the miniature railway runs on these days. You'll ride through woodlands and a tunnel and across a bridge. You must have covered footwear in order to board the train. If you visit any other day, you can still admire the gardens displaying roses, camellias, azaleas, and rhododendrons in the various gardens. Grab a snack at the cafe and pick up pellet food for feeding the zoo animals. Make Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens a part of your Wagga Wagga vacation plans using our Wagga Wagga day trip app.

  • After long walk we decided to have quick look around but stayed quite a while. The Avery was excellent and well looked after.
