Great beach for families with young kids. Often the waves are smaller and at low tide you can walk out pretty far so its a great place to get your kids on boards and get them used to catching waves.

Great beach for family, the water is shallow and waves are not strong creating a perfect place for kids playing with surf boards. Parking is a challenge, typically you have to park far from the beach.

I grew up in Southern Sydney so always went to the Shire during Summer. Somehow, this beach reminds me most of the Shire. Whenever I'm up North, I love this beach for a few reasons. It feels homely. It's in a nice bay/inlet. And most of all, it is perfect for body surfing because you can walk out 50m+ on the sand banks to catch waves. There's plenty of sand for everyone to sunbathe on, and everyone seems friendly. Honestly just the best!
