Nearby is a busy shopping and dining area, where you can also find hotel accommodations if you choose to stay longer in this quaint part of the city. Lifeguards are on duty daily and on the Wedding Cake Island, rising out of the water about 400 m (1,300 ft) offshore. Coogee Beach is the beautiful little sister to Bondi Beach and is well worth a visit. Take some time to do the coastal walk between Coogee and Bondi.It's a little less "fancy" than Bondi.
