Birdwood Gully Park, Springwood

Did this little kid friendly circuit a couple of weeks ago. Lovely little walk *apart from the leech that hitched a ride home

Lovely walk nestled into a gully between the surrounding neighbourhood. Some steps as it does descend down and up out of the gully but nothing too taxing. Becomes wonderfully mossy, cool and quiet as you descend. Be careful if you're taking the circuit anti-clockwise - there's a point about half way where another path splits off and it can be easy to miss the sign (I did and ended up about 30 mins down the wrong track - Springwood Creek I think. Not sure where that ends up as I eventually back tracked but it's also a nice walk). The sign is just near some cement stepping stones. Recommend parking at the Bendal Rd and Lucinda Ave entrance. There is another entrance further down on a steep bend on Bendal Road, but can't park directly at that spot.
