Robe Town Brewery is a small family-run Boutique brewery striving to make use of traditional and sustainable methods of brewing for the small-scale production of hand-crafted specialty ales and non-alcoholic beverages.A visit to Robe Town Brewery represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Robe day trip planning website to plot your vacation.
Robe is a small historic town situated on the rugged Limestone Coast of South Australia. Surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean, beaches and wild bushland, Robe is easily one of the region's top destinations for good food and great local wine!
The town is scattered with historic buildings dating back over 150 years ago, when Robe flourished as the second most active sea-port in South Australia. It is back in 1869 when the prominent citizen of Robe, George Lord Snr., first established the Robe Town Brewery.
With a focus on once again supplying the local market with fine brews, today Robe Town Brewery will be making use of several traditional methods of brewing that were used back when George Lord first served locally made ale at his old Frankfort Hotel (later known as the Criterion Hotel). This involves the use of handmade timber mash tuns (where malt starches are converted to sugars), custom-built wood-fired kettles (where the beer is boiled) and open fermentation vessels (where the yeast does its magic).
The brewery will strive to incorporate environmetally sustainable practices throughout the brewing process and use as many locally-sourced and/or organic ingredients as possible.
Since 1st of July 2015 we have opened our own little cellar door at the brewery (next to the carwash, just as you enter Robe) We will be open most afternoons (3pm-5pm). To be sure, just give us a call beforehand (0415993693). Or why not visit our other cellar door at the fantastic Bookshop in Robe, which operates as a bookshop, coffee house, cellar door (for Robe Town Brewery and local Woodsoak Wines) and has a splendid out door beer garden. Robe Town Brewery ales are also available at several hotels, cafes and restaurants around the Limestone Coast Region.

Huge chose of beers in fun surrounds and good service. Close at 5pm and carton a little pricey. Much needed for when holiday makers swell population.

Great selection of beer, amazing facility with heaps of space, friendly service, dog and kid friendly. The tasting selection is great value - 4 generously poured selections for $15 = bargain. We’ll be back for sure.

Robe Town Brewery is without doubt the grooviest place in Robe. it doesn't matter if there are 10 people or 100, the atmosphere is always alive. Maris, Kristi and the Brewing Crew can be thanked for the biggest cultural injection into Robe in a decade - one that acknowledges and celebrates diversity and pushes norms. Best burgers south of the big smoke, and live music aplenty. A true community asset. Love you lot.
