  • The Olympic size pool is an oasis in this mining town. It is heated to 30 degrees in winter. Had the best swim. So good to get some solid exercise whilst travelling.

  • Absolutely shocking! There is nothing positive to say about this park. What must have a gorgeous children’s park years ago has fallen into shocking disrepair. Shame on you Mount Isa city council!

  • Came here to give the little ones a break from the long drive just to disappoint them since it’s all closed. I find the location of the playground highly questionable. It’s right next to an active mine with direct exposure to all the smoke/exhaust/particles generated by it.
  • Mount Isa needs more places like this for children. There is a fair bit of vandalism and general maintenance around the park that needs to be fixed. As this is the only park in Mount Isa for kids of all ages it should be looked after better. Its closed every Wenesday for matenance but I'm unable to see what 'maintenance is being done. The swings for the under 5's have been missing since September 2018. A revision of the hours should be considered, as a early opening would be better for little kids, 7am-7pm? And heaps more shade structures would be awesome.
