  • Really nice place to spend few hours at. The staff is kind and helpful, at night time is even better.

  • the museum has many varied exhibits that are enjoyable for all ages. I especially enjoyed the life sciences section, specifically the bug section. I highly recommend the miniature models section, which is fun for all ages. there is also a cafe there for people to sit. there was also a lovely exhibition on aboriginal people and their culture. warning for some bright lights on that one
  • We took advantage of free general admission for pensioners and spent a leisurely hour or so exploring the forests display. Wonderfully put together and as we were early mostly quiet. As regular bush walkers we are very familiar with the sounds of whip birds. To have them singing in full view a few metres from us was a delight that we had not experienced before. Worth the visit just for that. Highly recommended.
