From elevated walkways through the trees or aboard an all-terrain, amphibious World War II Army Duck, you can explore the 404,686 sq m (100 acres) of World Heritage-listed tropical rainforest at Rainforestation Nature Park. Knowledgeable guides point out and explain the abundance of native plants and animals, including over 40 varieties of exotic fruits, as well as koalas, crocodiles, snakes, and dingoes. The park also works to support and preserve Australia’s indigenous culture. After watching a corroboree--a traditional dance--performance by local Aborigines, you can try your hand at throwing a boomerang or playing the didgeridoo. Using our international travel planner, Kuranda attractions like Rainforestation Nature Park can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

We visited as part of our Kuranda Skyrail and train trip. The grounds are nice, the "duck" trip is a bit hokey, and the zoo bit was not extensive nor all that humane -- in my opinion.

This was a highlight of our trip and wish we were able to spend more time here. We only managed to do the Army Duck tour which was amazing. 'Captain' Chris was great, really informative and full of jokes. He had a fantastic rapport with the kids on the tour and really made the experience. Beautiful scenery and lovely staff. Can't wait to come back & enjoy the full experience.

Pretty nice place. The staff definitely know what they are talking about and have demonstrated their expertise very well. Although I do need to comment on their hygiene as there were multiple cobwebs across the zoo. Overall, you should visit this location but equipment needs updating and the hygiene needs to be better.
