Fantastic place to visit for a self guided tour! So much value for money as there are so many things to see. We also bought a beautiful opal ring afterwards that I'm besotted with. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Great example of a mine from the earliest days to the more recent times. It's a good place to really appreciate how hard and the risk to life the early miners had to endure. We were offered a hard hat to wear during the tour and appreciated its protection on many occasions.
