  • Firstly, finding a carpark is nearly impossible. And the Council has made navigation by cars on nearby roads very difficult. I was 'underwhelmed' by the Conservatory (saw no butterflys or orchids...

  • Best botanical gardens we've visited. The gardens are free and have a variety of themed garden area over both sides of the road. Lots of accessible paths, two cafes and gift shops. Recommend picking up a free map from either the Friends of the Botanical gardens centre or the main visitors centre. Easy access from lots of different entry points. We especially enjoyed the conservatory, Aboriginal medicine garden, and bamboo garden.
  • Easy to spend a day wandering here. It's a bit up and down but lots of seats for resting and even though it was a hot day it felt cool and shady in the gardens. The new cafe was lovely for brunch, nice gifts in the shop next door and an art exhibition. There's a bus stop right outside the main gate. Thoroughly enjoyed our long morning here. We did a "buggin" tour with Bridgette from Aussie Macro Photos and she found lots of interesting bugs and spiders for us to photograph . Well worth it.
