Create an itinerary including Busselton Jetty
The longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, Busselton Jetty stretches almost 2 km (1.2 mi) into the sea and ends with an underwater observatory. From a depth of 8 m (26 ft) below sea level, you can observe over 300 marine species, including colorful tropical corals and a variety of fish, sponges, and invertebrates swimming right in front of the observatory's 11 viewing windows. Children enjoy the Jetty Train, which seats around 50 visitors. This unusual train trip across the sea offers views of frolicking dolphins and local fishermen snatching their catch. Often described as Australia's greatest artificial reef, this jetty serves up both education and recreation. • Spent a lovely morning slowly walking out the jetty with coffee. Many other early morning walkers out too. Many fishing on the lower platforms. The observation area at the end was amazing!

  • Loved loved loved this place. Fantastic park, Foreshore and the train ride to the underwater observatory was fun. The volunteers were so lovely to the children. Will definitely go back. The Pirate Ship park, the children would have spent all day AND the beach and water was also amazing but a little cold.
  • Such a unique jetty far out into a lovely bay, well worth a visit if you are in the area. A very long walk so not for the slow or elderly, can also be windy so watch out for your hat. It does cost to enter but not excessive, there is a train ride to get to the end if walking isn't your style and there is also an underwater viewing platform to attend if you wish to pay for it. Well worth a look.
