  • I’ve not stopped talking about my experience since I got home. Having never camped before, let alone gone alone, I put my big boy pants on and decided to do a last hurrah to my Christmas season...

  • Gorgeous hikes, scenery, lookouts, trees and a good amount of parking. Plenty of bunya pines there. Worth vising there. This was my third visit

  • A very popular and extensive picnic area adjacent the Bunya Mountains National Park trail entry. A lot of vehicle parking adjacent electric BBQ style picnic areas. Water points nearby, but not suitable for drinking without treatment. Toilet and hand washing facilities with disability access. Trail head starting point for a number of walks from just a few minutes to hours. Plus a large mob of wallabies.
  • Stayed at one of the houses at the Bunya Mountains. Went on the 4km circuit walk through the forest that had waterfalls, hollow trees and expansive lookout views. The natural flora and fauna were also great to experience. After the trek we settled for a drink at the Bunya Mountains Tavern. Would recommend this getaway to anyone.
