Create an itinerary including Jewel Cave
Witness the artistry of nature in Jewel Cave. On your guided tour of the four expansive chambers, you'll see straw stalactites billed as the longest in any tourist-accessible cave in the world. Thicker stalactites also reach for the floor of the cave, creating the illusion of a melting ceiling. The space inside is relatively open, and the path easy to negotiate. After you emerge from the cave, walk through the stand of towering Karri (eucalyptus) trees surrounding the site. The Preservation Centre here has interpretive information and a cafe. Tours run frequently. To visit Jewel Cave on your holiday in Augusta, and find out what else Augusta has to offer, use our Augusta.

  • Really worth paying a visit. 1 hour long guided tour which was very informative. Fantastic stalagmites and stalactites taking 1000’s of years to form. Need to have certain amount of fitness and there....  more

  • Absolutely stunning! Fully guided tour with very knowledgeable guide. The formations in the cave are remarkable, as is the story of its discovery. 300 steps down with viewing platforms spread along the way. A must see if you're in the Margaret River area. A little easier to negotiate than the Ngilgi Cave.
  • Spectacular spot! The cave is 2km long ( tour only access 700m) and 42m deep. $22 per adult for a one hour guided tour. It worth to have a look. In this area there are a few other caves, I don’t know which one is the best.
