Create an itinerary including Cafesjian Center for the Arts
Explore a lavishly decorated stairway-building and a museum of art hidden inside the walls at Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The 118 m (387 ft) tall landmark embodies the transition from the Soviet era to democracy: partially completed before the devastating earthquake and breakup of the USSR, the complex was finalized in 2002, marking the country's economic revitalization and opening of cultural borders. As you approach the monumental site, observe the designed fountains, courtyards, and sculptures located on terraces and platforms. The interior contains an intricate network of halls and corridors--all connected to the outdoors via series of escalators. When you reach the top of the stairway, enjoy a panoramic view of the city center and Mount Ararat. • The art pieces there look fantastic. Although I am not someone who can appreciate art properly, I did enjoy my visit. If you don't want to climb the stairs, there are always escalators inside, don't forget that. The view from the top of cafesjian is really awesome and at night, the different lights create a great environment. Really recommended to visit this place if you're in Armenia.
  • I didn’t go in and just wandered around the museum. First impression is incredible as you walk through the gardens and see the cascade. There are famous artist that have artwork in the gardens. When you walk up the stairs to the top you also get a great view of Yerevan.
