Despite its age, the church remained relatively unchanged over the years, marking the spot in which Abbess Gayane was tortured and martyred in 301, during the turbulent period of Armenia's conversion to Christianity. its beautifull monastary area they are doing renovation now so when on tour you get to visit a part of the museum in the back ,and museum is amazing with historic pieces in it

Nice church. There's not a lot of decoration, but there's a famous cript of a saint there

The armenians like this church very much. Maybe it's favourite church of majority in Echmiadzin. You have to go and see by your eyes and of course soul. UNESCO World Heritage Site.
