The mall was the first in the Mills Corporation's chain of shopping malls, and has over 225 retailers and features an 18-screen AMC movie theater. The mall was expanded in 1993, adding a wing anchored by Marshalls and JCPenney Outlet Store, along with a Burlington Coat Factory. Cohoes Fashions was also an early tenant and later closed in 1987, being replaced by a Woodward & Lothrop outlet store. Other original tenants included IKEA, Sears Outlet and Waccamaw Pottery. The IKEA location at Potomac Mills was one of the company's earliest retail outlets in America, and proved so popular that it eventually required a new, dedicated building adjacent to the primary Potomac Mills complex. Anchor tenants include Nordstrom Rack, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Costco, Burlington, Marshalls & HomeGoods, Buy Buy Baby, AndThat!, JCPenney, American Freight, TJ Maxx, Bloomingdales Outlet, AMC Potomac Mills 18, The Children's Place, Nike Factory Outlet, Forever 21, Camille La Vie, H&M, ZavaZone, and Round 1 Bowling & Amusement.
Potomac Mills reviews
This mall is just like many others. Same old stores and food court. They do have a HUGE arcade and bowling center right next the the movie theater. Bathrooms were clean. more »
Not much open. Many shuttered stores. Dreary and sad are the best words for this shopping area. Don't waste your gas to go there. more »
Loved Cheesecake Factory...food is great!! However, i didn't like that they put the utensils on the table without putting it in the napkin. I don't feel that the table is clean enough to have the thing that will go in my mouth rest on it. So i had to ask for another one. But other than that service and food was amazing!! 😊
Great place to shop without kids. It's so busy so I do not suggest taking little ones to run around. I was more worried about losing my kids then shopping. It has a great selection of stores. Low price to high and everyone seems really friendly and helpful.
