Boothilll Graveyard, Tombstone

#3 of 35 in Things to do in Tombstone
Cemetery · Tourist Spot
Numerous victims of the Wild West were buried at Boothilll Graveyard, one of the most famous western cemeteries thanks to the town's name, during the 19th century. Most of the attraction's "residents" were outlaws, murder victims, those who took their own life by suicide, and people hanged between 1878 and 1884. It is believed that around 250 bodies lie at the cemetery. In some cases they were identified immediately, but others were showcased in the undertaker's window until someone recognized them, even if just by nickname. You'll see causes of death such as "Stabbed," "Drowned," "Killed by Indians," and "Died of Leprosy," and references like "Queen of the Red Light District."
