A public park, Riverfront Park spans 40 hectares (100 acres) and has features ranging from bike trails and walking paths, to a sculpture walk and IMAX theater. The park’s position along the Spokane River offers some of the best views of the falls. To see the falls close up, take a 15-minute ride in the SkyRide gondola. Get into nature on one of the many walking paths or by biking the Great Centennial Trail, which has access points from the park. Kids will love the many amusement rides, as well as the Looff Carrousel, which is over 100 years old and is featured on the National Register of Historic Places. You can finish off your day by grabbing a bite to eat at the Pavilion Cafe. Safe and beautiful! The carousel is very elaborate and a local favorite for families! I loved the artistic details. Electric scooters were available. Much of the paths are wheel chair accessible. The views are very nice, cable cars on one side, and carousel on the other. You can spend most of your day here in the park enjoying the great outdoors'!
Still a pretty good place for inexpensive 'date days'. There's plenty to walk and see that is free! (Hint, guys: always a great option!) Also a wide variety of fun things to check out or do, for small fees. If you're on the other end, take a walk through the River Square mall - but bring a bank loan!
