Listed as a National Historic Landmark, Saratoga Spa State Park is best known for its mineral springs but is also home to a variety of cultural, historical, and recreational activities. The area was deemed a State Reservation in 1909 after businesses were exploiting the springs and depleting them. After World War II, veterans and Holocaust survivors were brought to the springs to benefit from its medicinal effects. Now the park boasts two swimming pools and two golf courses--a championship 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. Visit the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Roosevelt Baths and Spa, or the other museums located in the park. Take a free guided "tasting" tour of the springs to sample the different types of mineral water. If you would like an appointment at the spa, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Saratoga Springs holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Saratoga Spa State Park and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

I spend much of my time enjoying the beauty and serenity of Saratoga State Park. The "Avenue of the Pines" is a great place to walk, run or cycle. There are many trails in and around the park if you don't want to pay to go into the pay portion. The dog park is also in the area, it's also free. There are pools for children and adults. This area provides many things to do. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is right in the middle of it all. I've settled here in Saratoga because of these beautiful places.

Very clean and beautiful. Park is very green, well taken care of and has mineral water springs all around it where you could read about past of the park and springs, learn history, learn which minerals are contained in the particular spring and taste the water from the open springs. Also there is a nice pool, pool with 2 slides and water sprinkler with baby pool. All were clean, water is not over chlorinated and no crowded. Park also got few very nice playgrounds for kids, hi king trails and so much more to spend the day and have fun.
