Dress up, put on a hat, have a picnic, and watch a horse race at Saratoga Race Course. This vintage course has been in use since 1863, and it’s one of the oldest sporting venues in the United States. Aside from the raceway and casino, there is a tasting club and a golf club for entertainment between the races. The yearly racing season lasts 40 days and traditionally ends on Labor Day. Saratoga Race Course was the most fun place in town for about 125 years. It is the oldest consecutively run course in the US. We love our horses in Saratoga. Too bad the track is being run by... more »

What a beautiful race track to come visit. Saratoga Race Course is superb. I really like that there is free parking. You can take the shuttle to the gate. There is lots to do even if you are not at the actual track. You can walk around and have a blast.

I will start by saying this place is beautiful and well maintained. The racing aspect was awesome, and I feel an overall good value. My main review lies with the Food and Beverage service and ticketing process. Long story short, we wanted to visit the track with some friends while we were visiting the area. We wanted to buy "Box" seats and have a little better experience. The process to buy online is almost non-existent and gaining access to "Box" seats requires an email to someone who does not respond to requests. We found out you could buy "box" seats at an area in "The Stretch" and have a better experience with serviced tables. We bought a box for $400 and found out that these are just seats that have personal screens and are slightly away from the bleachers. In my past experiences, boxes are slightly upgraded with some food options and great service. Our waitress was a ghost all afternoon and we had to hunt her down. Needless to say, not what we paid for. I recommend you go, buy regular seats, buy the concessions, and have a great time, you will save a couple hundred bucks on an experience you can curate for yourself. Cheers,
