Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica

Experience the vibrant, timeless energy of southern California with a walk down Santa Monica Pier. The 100-year-old wooden wharf serves as the area's hub of entertainment and culture. This spot is home to the Pacific Park amusement park, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, an array of shops and eateries, and plenty of street artists. Rent bikes and spend the afternoon exploring the carnival-like atmosphere while enjoying the oceanside scenery. Kids love visiting the Playland Arcade, which has more than 200 games and attractions. • Have been here a few times and it's generally good but always busy. Local parking is expensive, street performers are usually good. Not had any issues with safety but heard there are a few pickpockets...  more »
  • Very clean and interesting place. Great views of the ocean. Very expensive rides and games so we didn't stay long. Fun street performers also. Bring a lot of $1's to tip!  more »

It brings joy to the multitudes of people from across the globe who visit it. Whether you are a beach lover, shopper, swimmer, surfer, amusement park lover, or aquarium enthusiast's, you will have a great day at the Santa Monica Pier in California. It is by far an institution and a destination in Southern California and deserves great recognition for the millions of people over the years that it has serviced. You can get great food here. You can find parking. You can relax I'm fall in love with the blue green water and the magnificent sunsets. In my opinion, the sunsets here are breathtaking. So whether you live in the town, are visiting from afar, or just strolling down Route 1, give this Pier your attention. You will not regret it!!!! A real treasure.
  • Amazing place. Good for kids. There are some transparent huge bouncy balls that you have to pay 30 US dollars to use one for 30 minutes. Nice free park stuff too! This place is recommended. Have a nice day!!
