McCune Mansion, Salt Lake City

Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Built in 1901 by railroad and mining tycoon Alfred McCune, The McCune Mansion has been restored to its original grandeur. Exotic woods like Bird’s Eye Maple, South American Satin Blonde Mahogany (now extinct), and 300- year –old English Oak resonate throughout this architectural masterpiece.

Truly a setting unlike any other in the western United States, the McCune Mansion is a beacon of elegance and history. Shadowed by Wasatch majesty, overlooking a picturesque cityscape, the lovingly restored McCune Mansion reflects a rare glory and grace appropriate for any unique celebration.

  • This place is breathtaking! We had a meeting in this mansion. The rooms have marble fireplaces. The painting hung threw out the home are unbelievable!
  • The McCune Mansion is one of the impressive homes on Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, Utah. Built in 1900, Elizabeth and Alfred McCune had it built as a replica of a home they saw in New York City. The 21 room mansion overlooks Temple Square and downtown Salt Lake majestically from a small hill and has materials from many parts of the world.
