Family History Library houses the largest collection of genealogical records in the world. The library attracts visitors from around the globe hoping to find their ancestors and piece together their family history. Millions of records in the form of microfilm, microfiche, books, and periodicals provide you with the resources to find your roots. When you enter the library, you can watch a short orientation film to help you figure out how to start your search. A staff member or volunteer will then lead you to one of their five floors, depending on what you are seeking. The staff can answer any questions you may have and help you trace your ancestry. If you have any documents about your relatives, bring them along, as well as a flash drive to save any information you uncover. We had a great time tooling around the different exhibits on the first floor of the Family History Library. Great chance to see who you're related to and learn more about how we're all one big happy..... more »
Incredible resource. Not everything one needs can be found searching online. There are many records that are only available through their system or via a book. Great place to do your genealogical research. The staff is helpful too.
I had such a wonderful experience during my visit... the staff, who are all mostly volunteers, was so incredible, very helpful and so friendly! The resources are amazing I highly recommend it to everyone!
