  • Lots of options with admission here. There was both a museum with a variety of different photography exhibits and an old mansion that had been set up to tour. I especially appreciated the ability to use my cellphone to make phone calls and listen to audio tours of the historic building. Cafe looked delectable, and not too expensive considering it was in the museum itself. They offer student discounts too!
  • I have heard about this Museum for years but have never gone. Glad I did. Wonderful exhibits on the history of cameras, photography icons, and some modern installations based on photos taken and tagged on twitter in reaction to recent hot button topics. Intriguing! Then on to the actual Eastman house. Nice curator led tour with some excellent narrative. You can join or leave the tour at anytime which was convenient. The house is beautiful and interesting to learn the history of the house and the owners. Sunday afternoons offer a free concert in the library. A fantastic Eastman School of Music Trombone quartet entertained us this particular Sunday. They were excellent and it was really great experience to enjoy live music in this historic setting much the Eastman would have years ago. Also great to see and learn about the organ he had installed. Must visit again.
